Michel Seuphor, alias Fernand-Louis Berckelaers is a graphic artist, painter, poet and art critic. He was born in Antwerp in 1901 and died in Paris in 1999. This woollen rug is hand knotted in the workshops of Elisabeth de Saedleer (1902-1972). She also produced a large amount of woven tapestries for him. ©Ch. Vrouyr
