Alfred de Breanski’s name is synonymous with fine views of the lakes and mountains of Scotland, Wales and the Lake District. His landscapes are frequently bathed in the purple, rosy glow of dusk and they often feature cattle or sheep. Between 1869 and 1893 he exhibited many works at the Royal Academy and the Royal Society of British Artists, Suffolk Street.
