A very rare and exceptional Louis XIV ebony,fruitwood and giltwood marquetry
table de milieu "aux Cariatides".
The rectangular top decorated overall with a rich "peinture en bois" marquetry
depicting a floral composition with a central basket of flowers,
flanked by scrolling foliage with birds and butterflies.
The frieze opening with two drawers on four giltwood caryatides legs support
jointed together by a H-stretcher, and terminating with small ball feet.
