A rare and small Louis XIV ormolu-mounted mother-of-pearl, red tortoiseshell-inlaid brass and pewter Boulle marquetry Bureau Mazarin.
Inlaid overall en première partie with engraved flowers, interlaced strapwork and foliate scrolls.
The rectangular top with a central stylised rosette and a moulded egg-and-dart rim
above a central drawer and a door, flanked to each side by three drawers
and keeled angles and on eight square tapering legs, each joined by a X-shaped stretcher, on bun feet.
Period: 1600-1750, 17th century
