Description & Technical information

With a flat and high rectangular back, issuing serpentine arm rests sculpted with acanthus leaves. The supports of the armrests are formed by an enrolled "S", and their front is sculpted with a flower garland on a mille raies ground.

The seat rests on four square baluster shaped feet which are decorated with a tassel on a mille raie ground, and topped by gadroons. An ornately sculpted square stretcher links the feet, with, at its centre, a flower bud which just opens, between the arcs of a double volute.

The armchairs are covered in a red cloth with gilt threads, the backrest showing a fountain on a foliage background.
