The wardens’ (maison commune) mark for gold and silver work, Paris, 18th July 1778 – 21st July 1779

Oval gold box, the central cartouche encircled by a laurel the four colour gold relief and allegorical scene of music. The whole box engine turned with laurel borders of swags and rosettes. The sides of the box with roundels topped with white gold ribbons depicting scenes of musical instruments. The interior, side and base of the box hallmarked. The flange of the box with discharge mark.
