Directly inspired from the beautiful and complex Hellenistic gold earrings with disk and boat-shaped pendant of the late 4th century BCE.
This work unsigned, but attributed to the Italian artist and goldsmith master Andrea Cagnetti so-called 'Akelo' (born 1967 - ) .
Several of his creations are curated in international museums.
The original model of this pair is an earring from the collection of jewellery buried with a woman, ca.400-350 B.C., in a famous tomb unearthed at Kul Oba in southern Russia in 1830, Villa Giulia, Rome, Castellani collection, inv. 85073
