This portrait shows an elder male character facing right. The face is characterized by severe features; a short fronthead, aquiline nose, small mouth and proturding chin, short hair. The bust is naked. This physiognomy and anatomical details are very similar to the portraiture of the Roman general, Marco Porcio Catone the elder (or Cato Uticense the Younger).
A stunning portrait masterfully engraved. Slight wear marks.
