Two 19th-century micromosaic plaques, Italy

Two black onyx plaques encircling micromosaic medallions depicting: 
- a view of St Peter's Square in Rome bustling with couples strolling, with its two fountains framing the obelisk and street lamps.
- a view of the ancient ruins of the Roman Forum, including the Arch of Septimius Severus. 
Small scratch on the black marble, very slight cement loss.
