Join us for a warm and convivial moment, and discover the rich diversity of Tribal Arts works of art from Africa, Oceania, the Arctic, and the Americas at Galerie Meyer. For this new exhibition "Tribal Spirit", Galerie Meyer presents around forty classical works of art from Africa, Oceania, the Arctic, and the Americas. Conceived in dialogue with the eponymous event that brings together the tribal art galleries of the Saint-Germain-des-Prés district on the 4th of December, the exhibition offers a broadened perspective, extending beyond the gallery’s usual scope - Oceania and the Arctic. The exhibition opens a dialogue between the works from these diverse cultures united by their role as expressions of identity and belonging. Through these objects, systems of belief, worldviews, and social structures remarkable art works emerge, revealing symbolic and formal correspondences. The exhibition forms a coherent ensemble that showcases the formal and conceptual richness characteristic of tribal traditions across four continents.
