Transparent glass cased in opalescent glass, base with dark red-brown band, metallic-yellow side, salmon-red mouth, the whole covered with trailed silver-yellow bands; lip with gilt brass mount round the edge (one leaf missing), gilt brass base.

A particular lavish Phänomen decoration was used on this vase. It was first employed by Franz Hofstötter to decorate his seminal vase designs for the World Exhibition in Paris in 1900.
