Description & Technical information
This showcase is a jewel of exceptional quality with regard to design and execution. The piece was probably commissioned by a Vienna-influenced architect around 1903. The first-class execution also indicates a very important cabinet-maker.
Solid maple on pine and veneer, doors interior veneered in African mahogany, set in the doors a messing-bound strip of 27 prism-cut glass pieces along with cut and facetted glass panes, 3 glass shelves added, brass fittings, base covered with a solid brass band, surface slightly repolished, excellent condition.
