Literature: The forefinger and little finger of this hand are slightly lifted away from the others and are making the gesture of meditation, which is associated with the moment of the Buddha’s enlightenment. From the position of the fingers it is probable that this is the right hand of a monumental, double life size, image of the Buddha seated in meditation.
